Hi my name is Dee and I have been unemployed since 07/05/10 and have been trying to file for unemployment benefits since the 11th and they have yet to send me any money. I was put on bedrest on my third trimester and ended up having an emergency c-section and was in the hospital for 10 days so I was unable to look for work right after. I have only have one source of income from my boyfriend who works at one job from 3:00 am-4:00 pm and it still has not been enough to pay for our rent, electricity, water, trash, phone, and all other expences. I have also lost my food stamps cash assistance benefits because I was unable to go to a meeting for child support because we don't have a car nor can we afford to buy one. I have to rely on carpooling with family, which is not always reliable, or call on a taxi which I can no longer afford to do. There are days where we have no money for food or to buy just simple clothes and we used the last of our money for half the rent and to buy formula for the baby because the brand he needs WIC will not provide for us. I am searching everywhere I go for another job but has been unsuccessful and I am in desperate need of another income to help support my family.
